Each State Government Should Have Their Own CSR Policy : Harsha Mukherjee, IICSR
One of the biggest impacts on companies across the public and private sector after coming in the ambit of mandatory CSR initiatives under the Companies Act has been to have “trained CSR professionals”. For many corporates, this strategic shift has been difficult, which compounded with the scarcity of skilled CSR talents to create scalable long-term strategies and implement it. While several thousand jobs have been created because of this amendment, several CSR jobs at all levels lie vacant. IICSR organised seminar to discuss CSR in academics
The discussion was organised by International Institute of Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility (IICSR) and IES Management College and Research Centre (IES MCRC) for Masters Business Administration (MBA) students.
CSR practitioners emphasized how the current gap of trained CSR graduates could be bridged by MBA students, who could enhance their understanding of the subject on CSR. Thereby, they can pursue careers in this emerging field by either doing post graduate studies in CSR or undertake CSR certificate programs.

IICSR skilling up India with CSR education eco-system
Harsha Mukherjee, Founder and Managing Director of International Institute of Corporate Social Responsibility (IICSR), has curated India’s first Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in CSR for MIT WPU, Pune. In order to cope with the growing demand for CSR professionals, she has developed a CSR education eco-system that would create a pool of trained talents across the country.
